Der Begriff mag Ihnen nicht vertraut sein, die Lichtbrechung ist jedoch ein Ph\u00e4nomen, das t\u00e4glich zu beobachten ist. Ein gutes Beispiel ist, wenn jemand seine Hand in ein Wasserbecken taucht. Das Licht wird gebeugt oder \u201egebrochen\u201d und der Arm erscheint geknickt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zu Lichtbrechung kommt es, weil Licht unterschiedliche Medien mit unterschiedlichen Geschwindigkeiten durchl\u00e4uft. Dieses Abbremsen wird als Brechungsindex des Materials bezeichnet und mit einem Zahlenwert angegeben. Wasser z.B. besitzt einen Brechungsindex von 1,33, Glas einen Brechungsindex von 1,5 und Diamanten einen Brechungsindex von 2,4. Das bedeutet, dass Licht durch Wasser 1,33-mal langsamer wandert als im Vakuum. Licht wandert durch Glas 1,5-mal langsamer, durch Diamant 2,4-mal langsamer usw. Je langsamer das Licht wandert, desto st\u00e4rker wird es gebeugt und verzerrt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Brechungsindizes verschiedener Materialien k\u00f6nnen Sie leicht online recherchieren.
