To lighten the load, you can release&nbsp;some cores on your worker. The core limit can be set in 2 ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Default limit:<\/strong>&nbsp;You can set up a default limit in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/manual\/getting-started\/setup\/worker-setup\/\">Worker Setup<\/a>&nbsp;in the Network Rendering Configurator<\/li><li><strong>Temporary limit:<\/strong>&nbsp;The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/manual\/user-interface\/worker-tray\/\">Worker Tray<\/a>&nbsp;widget enables you to set a temporary limit or pause your worker entirely. Please note that the worker service will revert to its default settings when you restart the computer.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>GPU<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The worker service is by default set to use&nbsp;<strong>all<\/strong>&nbsp;available GPUs. If you have Multiple GPUs you may want to reserve some power for other things. Please note that the worker service will revert to its default settings when you restart the computer.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"LimitWorkerAvailability-SettinglimitationsintheWorkerTray\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Setting_limitations_in_the_Worker_Tray\"><\/span>Setting limitations in the Worker Tray<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong>&nbsp;Log into your worker computer and find the&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"32\" height=\"32\" class=\"wp-image-7279\" style=\"width: 16px\" src=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/08\/nr_worker_tray_icon.png\" alt=\"\">&nbsp;Worker Tray widget, it is located in the taskbar on Windows and in the menu bar on Mac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong>&nbsp;Right-click the Worker Tray widget and select&nbsp;<em>Set Cores\/Set enabled GPUs<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong>&nbsp;Change the number of cores or which GPUs are available. The worker service will restart in the background. Once it restarts, the worker will reconnect to the network.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"288\" height=\"233\" src=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/08\/worker_tray-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7360\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"LimitWorkerAvailability-Limitingthetimeswhentheworkerisavailable\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Limiting_the_times_when_the_worker_is_available\"><\/span>Limiting the times when the worker is available<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need all the power of the computer, for something other than Network Rendering, during parts of the day you can limit when the worker is available for Network Rendering.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Default limit:<\/strong>&nbsp;In the Monitor you can set up a Worker schedule where you can limit the hours where the worker is available. Visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/manual\/getting-started\/setup\/worker-setup\/worker-schedules\/\">Worker Schedules<\/a>&nbsp;page for more info.<\/li><li><strong>Temporary limit:&nbsp;<\/strong>In the Worker Tray you can pause the worker.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"LimitWorkerAvailability-PausingtheWorkerServicefromwithintheWorkerTray\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pausing_the_Worker_Service_from_within_the_Worker_Tray\"><\/span>Pausing the Worker Service from within the Worker Tray<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Log into your worker machine and find the Worker Tray widget, it is located in the taskbar on Windows and in the menu bar on Mac.<\/li><li>Click&nbsp;<em>Pause Worker.<\/em><\/li><li>Select&nbsp;what to do for tasks that are in progress on the Worker.<ul><li><em>Abort Task<\/em>&nbsp;will pause the worker immediately which means that any progress in the task will be lost.<\/li><li><em>Complete Task<\/em> will let the worker finish the current job before being paused.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-columns gb-layout-columns-1 one-column\"><div class=\"gb-layout-column-wrap gb-block-layout-column-gap-2 gb-is-responsive-column\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-column info-box gb-block-layout-column\"><div class=\"gb-block-layout-column-inner\">\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"note\">Note<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that it is possible to configure the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/manual\/getting-started\/setup\/manager-setup\/\">Manager<\/a>&nbsp;in a way that does not allow Workers to access to the Worker Tray. If this is the case you cannot temporarily limit\/pause the Worker&#8217;s availability for Network Rendering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Changing the Worker Schedule requires the right user privileges.
