In order to activate&nbsp;<em>Match Perspective<\/em>, please load a&nbsp;<em>Backplate<\/em>. See&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/manual\/environments\/environment-settings\/\">Environment Settings<\/a>&nbsp;for further information on this topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When clicking on the&nbsp;<em>Match Perspective<\/em>&nbsp;button, A widget appears in the Real-Time View and you will also notice 2 or 3 sets of vanishing lines in different colors &#8211; The lines and colors correspond to the scene&#8217;s coordinate system. X is blue, Z is red, and Y is green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"702\" height=\"140\" src=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/07\/camera_match_perspective.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5524\" srcset=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/07\/camera_match_perspective.png 702w, https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/07\/camera_match_perspective-300x60.png 300w, https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/07\/camera_match_perspective-700x140.png 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 702px) 100vw, 702px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-columns gb-layout-columns-1 one-column\"><div class=\"gb-layout-column-wrap gb-block-layout-column-gap-2 gb-is-responsive-column\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-column info-box gb-block-layout-column\"><div class=\"gb-block-layout-column-inner\">\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"note\">Note<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/manual\/tools\/match-perspective\/\">Match Perspective<\/a>&nbsp;has been added to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/manual\/tools\/\">Tools<\/a>&nbsp;section in the Ribbon<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Two-Point Perspective<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the mode used in most cases.<br>Adjust the vanishing lines according to the plane on which the object is placed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Three-Point Perspective<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three point perspective is most commonly used when trying to place building or object when the camera is placed at a low or high eye level.<br>Adjust the perspective with 3 sets of orthogonal lines to match the vanishing points&nbsp;to the plane on which the object is placed and of vertical lines. Make sure the up axis of the matched perspective is the same as the one in the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lock Rotation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the rotation is locked any adjustments to the 3 sets of lines will not affect the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/manual.keyshot.com\/keyshot10\/manual\/cameras\/position-and-orientation\/\">azimuth<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ground Grid<br><\/strong>Turn on ground grid in the scene to help match the perspective. the grid will not be visible in rendered output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reset lines<br><\/strong>Reset all sets of lines to their default position. The camera will update accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For best results we recommend to turn on&nbsp;<em>Show Coordinate Legend<\/em>, found under the&nbsp;<em>View<\/em>&nbsp;menu. It can also be toggled on and off using the&nbsp;<em>Z<\/em>&nbsp;hotkey. This will help you identify the orientation of the model in the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-columns gb-layout-columns-1 one-column\"><div class=\"gb-layout-column-wrap gb-block-layout-column-gap-2 gb-is-responsive-column\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-column tip-box gb-block-layout-column\"><div class=\"gb-block-layout-column-inner\">\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tip\">Tip<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>For the best results try to find orthogonal lines in the backplate image that you can use as guides when matching the perspective. Move the end points of the lines according to the coordinate layout to reference points in the background image. Notice the camera values update accordingly. Once aligned, pan and dolly the camera to position the object so it fits properly inside the scene.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Perspective-Perspective\/FocalLength\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Perspective_Focal_Length\"><\/span>Perspective \/ Focal Length<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Perspective \/ Focal Length<\/em>&nbsp;controls the amount of distortion (convergence) seen in the Real-time View; real world values can be used here to replicate camera lens focal lengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Perspective-FieldofView\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Field_of_View\"><\/span>Field of View<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Field of View<\/em>&nbsp;(FOV) is inversely related to Perspective and controls the \u201ccone of vision\u201d seen in the Real-time View. Larger Perspective values will result in a smaller Field of View, while smaller Perspective values increase the amount that\u2019s visible in the Real-time View.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Perspective-GroundGrid\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ground_Grid\"><\/span>Ground Grid<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ground Grid<\/em>&nbsp;will overlay a 1:1 grid on the KeyShot ground plane; the density of the grid is controlled by the Environment size.
